The Valley of the Waterfalls: E-bike and Hike

Get ready to (water)fall in love! The scenery and waterfalls in Husedalen will simply take your breath away. The trail through Valley of Waterfalls is one of the most beautiful hikes in Norway. Four gorgeous waterfalls right after each other on the way from Kinsarvik to Hardangervidda: Tveitafossen, Nykkjesøyfossen, Nyastølsfossen, Søtefossen.

We access the waterfall with a 15 km e-bike tour, and then a hike. Biking trough the heart of the largest fruit garden in Norway, the Ullensvang area, which boasts over 500,000 fruit trees.

Additional information:

12am: Meet up at the reception of Ullensvang Hotel in Lofthus (approx. a 40 km drive from Odda)
This is a tour combining biking on electrical bikes and hiking
Make sure you have extra clothes in the backpack so you can adjust whenever you need it to be comfortable both when biking and hiking
5-6pm: Return to Lofthus

More to know

Biking is mainly on asphalt road; the last stretch is on a nice gravel road. Do not get scared by the long bike, the e-bike makes this a walk in the park.

The hike follows a hiking trail. Parts of it are in rocky terrain. It can be easy and dry or wet and muddy, depending on the weather conditions lately.

FAQ

Can I store my bag/luggage?

Yes, we do offer luggage storage free of charge. The hotel reserves to right to deny storage of oversized and suspicious items.

Do you allow early/late check in and late check-out?

Requests for early check-in and late check-out are honored but subject to availability. Allowable free-of-charge early check-in is from 12 PM. Applicable charges will be billed for exceeding hours.

Late check in after 23.00 please let us know. Late check in can be agreed by contacting reception at mail@trolltungahotel.no minimum 24 hours before arrival.

Check out later than 12.00 PM will be billed 50 % of the rate of room.

I have particular food restriction, am I able to have a meal?

For sure! We will be glad to help you and propose dishes that may be suitable for you. If you are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, we have a wide range of mouth-watering options to suit. If you have any special dietary requirements, please advise our staff when you book so that we can cater for your preference. If you have any food allergies, please notify our staff before you dine so we can advise you accordingly.

Gear drying service

In Norway weather is guaranteed, loads of weather. You might experience rain, snow or sun, even in summer. Pack for everything. We will help you dry up wet shoes, back packs or outdoor gear in our gear drying room.

What time can I check-in and check-out?

Standard check-in time is at 15.00-22.00 and check-out at 11.00 PM.
