This is your chance to be up in the mountains when the sun plays the most spectacular light games – at sunset and sunrise! Trolltunga Active has chosen the spot thoroughly, so our base camp is located at a good distance from the main trail. The spacious dome tent surprises you with its comfortable facilities and see-through ceiling.

Photo shoot at our "Rockstar" Trolltunga with you and the spectacular view
Dinner with breath-taking view, entertainment and all comfy apparels to make your experience the Heart of the Norwegian mountain to the fullest
2-3pm the next day: Return back to P2

‍Please make sure to leave enough space in your backpack for a sleeping bag liner, your dinner, the micro spikes. Be aware that you should be able to strap snowshoes onto the backpack you are bringing.

Please keep in mind that we operate in a remote area that is inaccessible and that the glamping tents possess only basic facilities. There is a drop-toilet available outside the dome tents. There are no shower facilities and no electricity. Even though we provide different ways to keep you warm, you are still accommodated in tents which offer shelter and protect you from the elements but do not preserve heat for very long.

FAQ

What time can I check-in and check-out?

Standard check-in time is at 15.00-22.00 and check-out at 11.00 PM.

Do you allow early/late check in and late check-out?

Requests for early check-in and late check-out are honored but subject to availability. Allowable free-of-charge early check-in is from 12 PM. Applicable charges will be billed for exceeding hours.

Late check in after 23.00 please let us know. Late check in can be agreed by contacting reception at mail@trolltungahotel.no minimum 24 hours before arrival.

Check out later than 12.00 PM will be billed 50 % of the rate of room.

Can I store my bag/luggage?

Yes, we do offer luggage storage free of charge. The hotel reserves to right to deny storage of oversized and suspicious items.

Yes, you can use our free Wi-Fi everywhere in the hotel. Contact the reception for the password.

Where can I park my car, and what is the price?

You can park your car free of charge at the hotel’s private parking, and at the public parking by the Sandvin Lake.

How can I get to the hotel?

We are situated in Odda, the closest city to the Trolltunga.

Can I bring my dog/pet?

Yes, we have one room available for your clients with pet. However, the pet is not allowed entering the common areas, like reception/restaurant. And the pet must be kept at the room during your stay. For dogs, we have a nice outdoor doghouse.

Do I have to pre-book a table in the restaurant?

We recommend to prebook the table. In the worst case you might risk that there are no available table when you arrive at the hotel.

I have particular food restriction, am I able to have a meal?

For sure! We will be glad to help you and propose dishes that may be suitable for you. If you are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, we have a wide range of mouth-watering options to suit. If you have any special dietary requirements, please advise our staff when you book so that we can cater for your preference. If you have any food allergies, please notify our staff before you dine so we can advise you accordingly.
